Quassel2Go a mobile client component of Quassel:

"Quassel is a program to connect to an IRC network. It has the unique ability to split the graphical component (quasselclient) from the part that handles the IRC connection (quasselcore). This means that you can have a remote core permanently connected to one or more IRC networks and attach a client from wherever you are without moving around any information or settings." (from http://qt-apps.org/content/show.php/Quassel+IRC?content=111241)

Quassel's architecture is especially suitable for mobile use where one has to cope with unreliable connections, limited bandwidth, and limited hardware resources.

Quassel2Go is a user interface based on the quasselclient desktop version.
The focus of the mobile UI is to preserve the seamless chat experience of the desktop UI. It tries to provide excellent small screen device usability, in addition to proper mobile platform integration.

Quassel2Go participates at the Qtest Mobile App Port Contest with friendly permission from the authors of the original desktop application.

Quassel2Go is available in the Ovi store: http://store.ovi.com/content/87685 !! It takes some time for releases to get available there. It's recommended to download new releases from here !!

Perfect, thanks a lot. I had always loved to have a reliable IRC Client for Nokia Phones.

Really looking forward to see this in OVI for MeeGo :-).

Ability is nothing without opportunity.

 Ovi store install not working

KDE- Amarok

Hey, great update. The QML UI is a big improvement.

I tried to install via the Ovi store but app manager could not download the package. Happen to know what is going on?

Manual install via dpkg -i worked though, don't forget to apt-get install libqt4-declarative.

Thanks for your comment. :)

Tthe install via Ovi store works for me. Have you tried uninstalling old versions of quassel before running the ovi install? (please note that the version on ovi is an old version at the moment)

Unfortunately dpkg -i does not resolve dependencies by itself. However, I am surprised that you had to install libqt4-declarative manually as it appears to be shipped with the pr1.3 firmware (at least it's installed by default in the pr1.3 nokia software development kit).

Could you please thank your mother for me? She gave birth to you, and you made this awesome program available! Thanks :D
